John is a seasoned innovator with a rich history of elevating guest experiences and culinary offerings across diverse sectors. With over two decades of experience, John has made significant contributions to prestigious catering firms and large-scale event productions throughout the United States, including New York City and Chicago.
Before joining Porch Swing Hospitality, John served as Vice President at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events in NYC. In this role, he drove exponential growth in Sports and Entertainment, Off-Premise Catering, and Business and Industry partnerships. His strategic acumen also led to key alliances with industry giants such as Compass Group, Aramark, Sodexo, and SSP, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.
John’s expertise lies in his ability to strategically grow businesses and form impactful partnerships. His visionary leadership and commitment to excellence have consistently resulted in superior guest experiences and innovative culinary offerings. Throughout his career, John has orchestrated an array of noteworthy Sporting Events & Entertainment, including the Sony Ericsson Open Tennis (2003-2012), PGA Championships in Louisville (2000), Atlanta (2001), Minnesota (2002), Ryder Cup Brookline (1999), US Masters Tennis Series in Indian Wells, CA (2000-2002, 2024), US OPEN NY (2001-2004) and Winter Olympics Salt Lake City (2001-2002), C3 Lollapalooza Chicago (2005-2007), 40th SNL After Party NYC (2015), Grammy Los Angeles (2022-2024)
John earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a specialization in Hospitality Management from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He currently resides in North Stonington, CT, where he and his wife Rachel raise their three boys, 13 chickens, & 2 Chocolate labs.
BOBBY QUINTAL
Bobby is a distinguished food and beverage expert with an impressive track record in consulting, innovative placemaking, restaurant design and construction, and concept development. A native of New Orleans, Bobby’s passion for hospitality and its profound impact on communities was kindled at a young age while working in the kitchens of some of the city’s most iconic restaurants. Through Porch Swing Hospitality, he dedicates his efforts to long-term projects and clients who share his deep-seated love for the industry.
Before founding his consultancy in 2019, Bobby was the Director of Business Development and Consulting at the renowned Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) in New York City. In this role, he collaborated with organizational leaders to drive strategic business growth and led USHG’s consulting division, aiming to extend the principles of Enlightened Hospitality beyond the group's own businesses.
Bobby also brings valuable international experience from his tenure at Goldman Sachs in London, where he managed the firm's day-to-day hospitality operations and oversaw development projects in various business and industry venues. His collaboration with real estate teams was instrumental in enhancing Goldman Sachs’ internal hospitality services.
Earlier in his career, Bobby honed his project management skills at USHG, supporting several restaurant developments and new business openings. This diverse background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry from multiple perspectives.
Bobby’s approach is grounded in the belief that the right people are the cornerstone of any successful project. He specializes in assembling and nurturing world-class teams, ensuring that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations. His commitment to long-term relationships and holistic strategies underscores his dedication to creating meaningful and lasting impacts through hospitality.
A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Bobby lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children. He continues to fuel his lifelong passion for food, cooking, and hospitality by partnering with fantastic organizations throughout the country.
Todd Krafchin
Todd joins Porch Swing with over 20 years of leadership experience, specializing in hospitality design, construction, and business development. He has successfully managed multimillion-dollar budgets, spearheaded high-profile projects, and driven operational efficiencies across the United States.
Todd brings a unique blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a passion for creating exceptional hospitality spaces to the team.
Most recently he served as the Senior Director of Design & Construction at Upward Projects in Phoenix, AZ. While there he oversaw a $32M annual budget, leading the design build, construction and opening of 18 Postino restaurants in six states within just 30 months.
Previously, Todd held the role of Senior Director of Construction, Facilities, and Procurement at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). There, he managed large-scale projects and experiential concepts, including the Union Square Events commissary kitchen, Intersect by Lexus, and the fine dining establishments Manhatta and Ci Siamo. In addition to leading construction efforts, he optimized facility operations across 26 USHG locations, enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Todd excels at overseeing projects from lease negotiations to site openings. He manages everything from Issue for Construction Plans (IFC Sets), general contractor selection, material sourcing, opening handoff and countless other parts of developmental process. His operational expertise and meticulous attention to detail are complemented by his ability to streamline processes and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Todd holds a B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a minor in Business Administration. He currently splits his time between New York and Arizona, where he enjoys life with his wife and two children.
